The Alpine Board of Supervisors has continued public discussion of the proposed Mahalee Lodge development to its next meeting, 1 p.m. Tuesday in the supervisors' chambers.
At issue is the project's request for a zone change to accommodate the proposed 49-unit fractional ownership units plus 25-room lodge.
The project has received a planning department recommendation for approval of the requested zone change, with a finding that the change is consistent with the general plan. The planning department also said that with mitigation the project will not negatively impact the surrounding community.
Comments may be made in person at the board meeting, or by letter addressed to the Supervisors at P.O. Box 158, Markleeville, CA 96120.
