Watercolor artwork by local artist and cowboy Doug Robbins is the winning entry in the Genoa Cowboy Poetry & Music Festival poster contest.
Robbins' "Range Rider" is the poster art for the first Genoa Cowboy Poetry & Music Festival on April 29 to May 2.
Robbins grew up and worked on a ranch in the Susanville, Calif., area until he moved to Gardnerville a few years ago. He paints cowboys in the style of dress particular to specific regions.
"Each cowboy that I paint is a friend or someone that I have known," he said.
