EDITOR:
So let me get this straight, the Carson Valley Inn has been here for a couple of decades building a wonderful reputation and loyal clientele with great employees and friendly service.
And now the owners are firing all of those employees and forcing them to apply for their jobs, losing all seniority and with no guarantee of retaining the jobs they already fill. Seriously? Somehow, this doesn't seem like the best business plan. These loyal and friendly employees are probably not going to be able to muster up many smiles during the important upcoming holiday banquet season, particularly those whose jobs are about to disappear during the planned renovations. Merry Christmas to all. I would suggest to those who purchased this fine establishment that this is not the way to begin your relationship with the very people who created the value of the business you just purchased. Bah, humbug.
