Minden Reid has opposition

EDITOR:

The letter by James Brown questioning the opposition to Harry Reid's re-election indicates to me that the letter writer does not "get it."

The growing opposition to Harry Reid is not about what he has or has not done for Nevadans, but what he has done to the American people.

Reid's support of reckless, irresponsible spending by the federal government, including the disastrous health care bill, will have a far more detrimental effect on Nevadans than any federal money he could bring to Nevada.

Besides, federal funds always have strings attached and would be far better replaced with tax cuts and less regulation for businesses, which will produce the best stimulus for Nevada's jobs and economy.

But Harry Reid will be the last to cut taxes and regulations because he too does not "get it," which is why he must go.
