Fundraiser for Keilani

A fundraising event is 1-5 p.m. Saturday to help with medical bills for Keilani Rose Freitas, who was born premature with hydrocephalus, a buildup of fluid on the brain. Live music and raffles at the Carson Mall, east entrance, 1313 S. Carson St., Carson City. Music by the Jackals, the Big Tsunami and other guest artists. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Bunco benefit Saturday

Operation Christmas Child

begins Monday

Fill shoe boxes with school supplies, toys, necessity items, hard candy and a letter of encouragement for the Operation Christmas Child effort to create gifts for needy children worldwide. National collection week is Monday through Nov. 23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Sunday and 8-9 a.m. Nov. 23 at Carson Valley Christian Center, 1095 Stephanie Way, Minden.
