Carson Valley comic and Ranchos resident Kat Simmons headlines the "Dreams Do Come True" show at the Carson Valley Inn's Shannon Ballroom on Nov. 21.
Since winning the eWomen Network International Talent contest in Dallas last summer, Simmons has been inundated with offers and opportunities to perform at a variety of venues both locally and afar. The upcoming show is a celebration of that success and also a thank-you to the community of fans who have supported her along her 22-year journey as a stand-up comic.
Simmons' good friend and fellow comic Dave Mencarelli performs the opening act, starting at 8 p.m. Advance tickets are $20 and may be purchased at www.cvartscouncil.com/katsimmons or in person at the Carson Valley Arts Council, 1572 Highway 395 in Minden. If still available, tickets will be $25 at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m.
