CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Nevada's first lady Dawn Gibbons is speaking about her pending divorce from Gov. Jim Gibbons and her fears about the future.

Gibbons is the cover story in the latest edition of Reno Magazine, due on newsstands this week.

In a lengthy interview, Gibbons talks of the day in May 2008, when the governor filed for divorce. She says she was visiting their son in Southern California, and the two had gone to a movie. When she came out, she says she had dozens of messages on her cell phone from reporters seeking comment.

A spokesman for the governor said the governor considers the divorce a legal and personal matter, and would not comment for the article.

A public divorce trial in Washoe District is scheduled to begin Dec. 28.
