I guess my plans to paint the eaves this weekend will have to go on hold again, since the weather outside is going to be miserable. We'll be kicking off the weekend with a fire weather watch on Saturday, thanks to 35-50 mph gusty winds. The cold front coming down from the north will be pushing every bit of dry air out in front of it, dropping the humidity down to 10-20 percent.
On the other side of the front, which should pass by Saturday evening there's a 30 percent chance of rain and snow, with snow levels down to 4,300 feet early Sunday morning. The chance of moisture on Sunday increases to 50 percent. The chance of moisture remains in the forecast through Monday.
Today should be a nice day, so enjoy it while you can. It might get a little breezy this afternoon, but the high temperature is expected to hit 75 degrees. It's 28 degrees in downtown Minden, 33 degrees in Genoa, and 35 degrees at Meneley Elementary School.
