Carson Valley Middle School student Ariah Barth was eliminated early in the second round of her game of Brain Surge that aired Tuesday.
Ariah, 13, made it past the first cut, when she was in second place, and the only remaining girl in the game.
But, she rode a chair back into a mouth and then down the brain drain filled with foam when she couldn't come up with one of the historical figures recited by the host in the second round.
Ariah was actually on the show back in February, but wasn't able to talk about the results until Tuesday.
We in the newsroom watched the show, which aired on Nickelodeon at 4:30 p.m. Frankly, I don't think I would have done any better than Ariah did.

Marion is quoted saying "You open up the paper, and every day there's an article about renewables."
We're proud to say that we are one of the papers she's talking about.
