The three winners will be invited to a Carson Valley Lions Club meeting. The 1st place winner will be awarded $50; 2nd place $30 and 3rd place $20.

The first place winner will be entered in the Lions Clubs International District 46 contest (basically the state of Nevada). The International Grand Prize recipient receives a trip to the award ceremony at Lions Day with the United Nations in New York City, a cash award of U.S. $2,500 and an engraved plaque.

Each year, Lion's Club International conducts this contest in the interest of motivating students of all nationalities to think about the positive effects of a peaceful world community. Students are encouraged to view previous grand prize and merit award winners on the Lions Club International website at www.lionsclubs.org/English/YPPWnrs.html in order to get an idea of the past winners designs.
