NDIAN WELLS - Anthony Morrow scored 30 points off the bench and the Golden State Warriors defeated the Phoenix Suns 104-101 in an outdoor exhibition game on Saturday night at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
The game, hosted by the Suns, was played in calm conditions and with temperatures in the 70s.
Last year's inaugural outdoor game in the tennis facility was hampered by winds that impacted shooting and cold temperatures that had players complaining they couldn't stay warm on the bench.
Morrow was 11 of 21 from the field including four 3-pointers to lead the Warriors.
Stephen Curry, the Warriors' first-round pick, scored 18 points including two free throws in the closing seconds. Corey Maggette added 17 off the bench for Golden State.
Channing Frye led six Phoenix players in double figures with 19 points, 12 coming in the first quarter. Grant Hill scored 16.
Despite the lack of wind, the teams still struggled shooting in the tennis center court that is usually home to the BNP Paribas Open.
Golden State shot 42.2 percent from the field, while Phoenix was at 40.4 percent.
