Despite having to slog through rainy conditions Tuesday morning in Eagle Valley, Douglas High junior Bethany Wurster managed to post an even-par 72 to raise her final standing to second place overall at the Northern 4A Regional Golf Championships.
Wurster made the leap from a sixth-place tie on Day 1, finishing with a two-day total of 161, but still fell just short of her third regional title in as many years.
Manogue's Alex Phillips pushed ahead to claim the individual title with a 150, leading her team to a dominating win at 659.
Elko was second with a 723 and Spanish Springs was third with 735.
Wurster will move on to next week's state tournament in Boulder City.
