The Tigers dominated in a 30-0 victory over the South Tahoe Vikings to improve to 4-0 in league play. Lights out defense and a potent offense combined with strong special teams were once again the formula for success. Led by quarterback Rodina, the Tiger O controlled the ball and scored with speed, relentless running and tough blocks. Power runs by Foster and
Murray, sweeps by Rooker, Saladis and Gervais behind the blocks of linemen Halligan, Miguel, Burchell, Smithen, Laningham, Houk, and ends Overton, Romero, Koetsier allowed the potent Tiger run game to dominate and control the tempo of the game.
Rooker took two sweeps to the house, Foster busted a strong power, and Rodina scored on two QB keepers for the Tigers.
The tough Tiger D brought its usual gang-tackling, hard-hitting attack to shut down the Viking offense. Linemen Trivitt, Beisner, Overton, Collins, Sorber and Smithen dominated up front. Defensive ends Gervais and Murray were relentless, attacking the Tahoe backfield to disrupt and stop plays. Linebackers Foster, Rodina and Rooker cleaned up with quick pursuit, hard
hits and sure tackling. Corners Sloan and Saladis shut down the outside.
The Tiger D forced and recovered three fumbles and prevented Tahoe from even
getting close to the endzone.
The Tigers attack Carson to take on the Senators in a heated rivalry at 7 p.m. Saturday at Governor's Field.
