RENO, Nev. - Fans will have the chance to spend Halloween and Nevada Day with the Wolf Pack men's and women's basketball teams at "Hoops and Treats" on Friday, Oct. 30.
Doors at Lawlor Events Center will open at 12:45 p.m. for the free event which will run from 1-2 p.m. Fans are welcome to stay and watch the Nevada women's basketball team practice after the event.
Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and trick or treat with members of the Wolf Pack men's and women's basketball teams. Kids can also get autographs and take photos with their favorite Wolf Pack basketball players.
Nevada's men's and women's basketball teams will begin their tune-up for the 2009-10 seasons with a pair of exhibition games at Lawlor Events Center. The women will take on Cal State East Bay at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, while the men open the exhibition slate with Chico State on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 7:05 p.m. Fans can attend the women's exhibition game for free, while tickets for the men's exhibition game cost $5 each (all seats general admission).
The Wolf Pack women's team opens the regular season against Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. at Lawlor Events Center, while the men start off the season playing host to Montana State on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 7:05 p.m.
Men's and women's basketball season tickets are on sale now at the Link Piazzo Ticket Office at Legacy Hall, while single-game tickets go on sale on Nov. 2.
