Ghosts may be found on the streets and in the cemeteries for Haunted Weekend through Oct. 25 in Carson Valley and Carson City. One thing for certain is you won't be bored to death.
Haunted Weekend is hosted by the Douglas County Historical Society, Carson City Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Carson Valley Chamber & Visitors Authority.
See ghost of Nevada's pioneers at the Haunted Genoa Cemetery Tour, 6:30-8 p.m. Oct. 24, at the Genoa Cemetery at the north end of town on Jacks Valley Road. Guided tours depart about every 15 minutes. Cost is $5, children under 12 are free. Hot cider served.
Carson City's Ghost Walk along the Kit Carson trail Oct. 24. Tickets are $15 and are available at the Carson City Convention & Visitors Bureau, (800)-NEVADA-1.
The Haunted Genoa Ghost Walk is Oct. 25. Tours depart at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. from the Genoa Courthouse Museum on Main Street. Cost is $5 per person.
Remember to bring flashlights, hat, coat, gloves and comfortable walking shoes to keep you from becoming dead on your feet.
