Tahoe writers at Eddy Street Book Exchange on Sunday

The Eddy Street Book Exchange hosts a reading from Edge, a publication that includes poetry and short stories from the Tahoe Writers Works, 2 p.m. Nov. 1. Several local writers will be at the store to read and talk about their work.

David Anderson resides in rural Nevada. His poems and short stories have appeared in newspapers, magazines and anthologies. His short story, "Walking Wounded," received honorable mention in New Millennium Writings short fiction contest.

Terry Easley is a poet, songwriter and novelist who plays guitar and sings around the Tahoe Basin. He won the award for best poetry collection at the inaugural Yosemite Writer's Conference and the Literary Award from Kokanne Literary Journal.

Ray Hadley moved from Los Angeles 21 years ago and opened Keynote, a used book and record store in South Lake Tahoe. His work has appeared in Ledge, Timber Creek, Illuminations and other literary reviews.

Jonathan Purver is a writer and lyricist whose work appears in Gannett newspapers, Harcourt Brace books and numerous journals and reviews.

Bruce Rettig is a writer, graphic artist, photographer and publisher of Edge.

Suzanne Roberts is the author of three collections of poems. She holds a doctorate in literature and environment from University of Nevada and teaches English at Lake Tahoe Community College.

Jeanine Stevens lives in Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe. Her poems have appeared in Poet Lore, Quercus Review, the South Dakota Review, Pegasus, Desert Voices and Camas.

Daniel Ward lives in Tahoe and began creative writing in 2007 while attending Lake Tahoe Community College.

Andrea Wexelblatt lives in Reno. She pays the bills through bartending and keeps her sanity through literature. Andrea founded Tahoe Writers Works in 2004.

Daniel Wexelblatt is an obscure writer who is said to live alone somewhere in northwestern Nevada. Other than his extreme distaste for government, not much is known about him. He is a published essayist, columnist and poet.
