The weather today will be reasonably nice until about 2 p.m. when the wind gusts start to hit 30 mph. According to the National Weather Service, the chance of rain goes up at about 5 p.m. and will climb even higher at about 11 p.m. We'll have a smattering of rain and up to an inch of snow starting about 5 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service's graphs. Expect a high temperature today of 69 degrees. It will get up to 47 on Tuesday.

The Green Thumb Garden Club is meeting 10 a.m. today to talk about proper pruning techniques. Theresa Higgs is the speaker at Carson Valley United Methodist Church in Gardnerville. The contact number is 265-9554.

There was a motorcycle accident about halfway up Kingsbury Grade at about 5 p.m. on Sunday. The biker reportedly broke his arm in the accident. When rescuers arrived everyone was up and around.
