Amber Hoogestraat and Curtis Hohenstein of Gardnerville were married Oct. 17, 2009.
Amber is the daughter of Jay and DeAnne Hoogestraat of Gardnerville and is a 2007 graduate of Douglas High School. She works as a food server at Carson Valley Residential Care Center.
Curtis is the son of Terry and Tammy Hohenstein of Gardnerville and is a 2003 graduate of Douglas High School. He works in production at Norsail.
The couple were married by Kirk Streeter in a ceremony at Lake Tahoe's Sand Harbor. The bride was given away by her father and was attended by her sister Sharon Hoogestraat as maid of honor, and sister Staci Lonnegren and friend Amanda Hyden as bridesmaids.
The groom was attended by his friends Jake Marsh as best man and Jake Dellvoette and Colby Dick.
A reception for 65 followed the wedding at Kahle Center. After a honeymoon cruise to Mexico, the couple make their home in Gardnerville.
