EDITOR:
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the East Fork Fire & Paramedic Districts, 911 operators, Douglas County coroner (sheriffs office), and Carson Valley Medical Center emergency room who all tried so hard to save our wife and mother, Carol Fowler, on the morning of Oct. 22.
Unfortunately, it was not to be but we know you all gave it your best.
From the 911 operator who kept me calm enough to deal with what was in front of me to the four EMT/paramedics who took over her care when they arrived, to the caring nurses and doctors at Carson Valley Medical Center, and the coroner who followed through on all of our questions, we know we got the very best care we could get and we thank you so much.
This situation was unimaginable to begin with but without all of you it would have been so much worse.
We feel very fortunate to live in this community, so again, thank you.
