The daughter of Fish Springs pioneer Anita Jones said she's willing to sell an organ to help Miss Nevada Christina Keegan.
Since it's illegal to sell a kidney, the organ Susanne MacMillan has for sale is the musical kind.
The Pasadena resident said it would be perfect for a church or a home.
"It's the size of a regular piano," she said. "If someone wanted to buy it I'd donate the money to Miss Nevada."
Chuck and Anita Jones homesteaded their ranch in Fish Springs many decades ago. While Susanne still visits the homestead every other weekend, she grew up in the California foothills, where her friend was Miss California Joan Beckett in 1956. Beckett won the preliminary swimsuit competition and was a top-10 semifinalist.
"I was just her little helper and encouraging person," Susanne said. Both girls attended Placer High School.
