The Douglas volleyball team scratched out a win in five sets at Fallon Thursday night, winning 19-25, 25-17, 25-13, 17-25, 15-12 in the Sierra League opener for both teams.
Shannon Dugan had 12 kills, Mia Townsell had seven service points, Emily Garcia had five blocks, and Mysta Townsell had 32 digs to lead the Tigers in the different statistical categories.
Jourdan Burke chipped in 10 kills, Garcia had eight, Erin Allison had seven, Brenna White had five, Keely Latham and Dani Trujillo each had four, Christine DuPuis had three and Carly McCullough, Becca Antti, Mia Townsell and Jackie Harper each had one.
Harper and Haily Sclafani each had six service points, Garcia and Mysta Townsell each had five, Burke and Allison each had four, Dugan and Trujillo each had three, DuPuis and White each had two and Antti and Latham each had one.
Burke, Mia Townsell, Sclafani and Trujillo each had two aces while Mysta Townsell, Dugan, Garcia and Allison each had one.
Defensively, Douglas got blocks from Dugan (3), Burke (2), White (2), Allison (2), Latham (2) and Trujillo (2) and digs from Mia Townsell (12), Jackie Harper (5), White (3), Burke (3), Nikki Chavez (2), Antti (1) and Allison (1).
Harper added 35 assists while Sclafani had four and DuPuis and Trujillo each had one.
