After falling back 11-4 to start Tuesday night's Sierra League match against Galena, the Douglas volleyball team put together a string of impressive runs to take control and cruise to a 25-18, 25-8, 25-14 win in Minden.
The win boosted Douglas' league record to 2-0 while Galena dropped to 0-2 on the year.
The Tigers used a 13-4 run to retake the lead from the Grizzlies in the first match and scored 22 consecutive points, including an 18-0 start to the second game, to gain control of the momentum.
Rebecca Antti had a breakout match with six kills, four service points, an ace, a block, a dig and two assists to lead the Tigers.
Brenna White was the team leader in kills with seven, Shannon Dugan had six, Emily Garcia had five, Jourdan Burke had four, Christine DuPuis had three and Carly McCullough, Keely Latham and Erin Allison each had two.
Jackie Harper had six aces and 21 service points to go with 22 assists. Hailey Sclafani was the team's setter in the third game and dished out 10 assists to go with five service points, two digs and one ace.
Defensively, Mysta Townsell had 22 digs and Nikki Chavez had four.
Marissa Piccinini led Galena with six blocks and Kelsey Gunderson and Emily Burns each had three kills.
