Amelia Ritger prevailed over a familiar foe Tuesday and the Tiger girls' tennis team cruised to its fifth consecutive win.

Douglas beat Wooster 16-2 as Ritger topped Wooster's Diana Kovaltchouck 6-1.

Kovaltchouck is considered to be one of the most skilled players in the area and one of the top threats to keep Ritger from defending her zone title for the second time.

Freshman Kari TenBroeck also picked up a win over Kovaltchouck, beating her 7-5 in the third round of the day.

Ritger and TenBroeck each won three sets on the day while Cesarina Ceglia had two.

On the doubles side, the teams of Jamie Lundergreen/Linsey Glass, Emily Weaver/Sarah Weaver and Katie Sawicki/Susie White all won twice while the teams of Zoe VanderByl/Rochelle Seymour and White/Kim Lowe each won once.
