After getting out to an early 14-0 lead, the Colorado State Rams held off a late rally from the Nevada football team to take a 35-20 win in Ft. Collins, Colo., Saturday afternoon.
Nevada was shut out in the first half, extending their scoreless streak to open the season to six quarters before Vai Taua got the Wolf Pack on the board with a 31-yard touchdown run.
Taua rushed for 95 yards on 14 carries in the game and quarterback Colin Kaepernick passed for 251 yards and a touchdown.
