CJ Baumgartner scored a pair of goals Saturday while Katie Dry, Alex Laing and Cora Moody each added one as the Douglas girls' soccer team cruised to a 5-1 win over Wooster in Minden.

Jessica Vega had an assist and Brianna Randall had five saves as Douglas improved to 2-1 in Sierra League play.

Douglas' leading returning scorer from last season, Tia Lyons (25 goals in 2008) played in her first game of the year after coming back from a shoulder injury, recording a number of shots on goal.

The Douglas and Wooster boys' soccer teams battled to a scoreless tie in Minden Saturday. Ivan Gonzales posted four saves in net to record the shutout for the Tigers.

Douglas remained unbeaten in its last eight games with the tie, but will have a tough test against Manogue on Wednesday.
