Tonight the Airport Workshop Roadshow goes to Stateline to talk to Tahoe residents about the Minden-Tahoe Airport. The session takes place at the Stateline Transportation Center, 169 Hwy 50, Stateline. On Thursday the roadshow returns to the Valley where Gardnerville Ranchos residents will be encouraged to participate. The session is at 6 p.m. in the Ranchos Volunteer Fire Sation on Mitch Drive.
A 73-year-old Gardnerville Ranchos man will probably get probation for contracting without a license after he accepted more than $8,000 to paint five houses, and painted none of them. Lloyd Schunk of Horizon Painting admitted to two counts of encgaging in business or submitting bids without a license for his third or subsequent offense. Each county carries a max four-year prison term.
The first day of fall isn't going to look too different from the last day of summer, with sunny skies and high temperatures in the 80s.
