The Nevada Association of Realtors, in conjunction with the local associations, has launched a new Web site to assist Nevadans who are facing foreclosure issues. The site, www.foreclosurehelpforNevadans.org, provides helpful information and resources for those who have questions regarding foreclosures.
Additionally the Web site contains a calendar of seminars and events related to
foreclosure.
This site is part of a grant funded by the national association designed to educate Nevada homeowners on the tools and information available to help them minimize the impact of foreclosures.
"We encourage homeowners who have concerns and questions about foreclosure to
visit this website," said President Linda Rheinberger. "This site is filled with
helpful information about the process, and outlines other options available to the
homeowner. Additionally, counseling services designed to further assist the homeowner
are included on this site."
Housing and Urban Development certified counselors have joined with the associations in order to
assist financially troubled homeowners. These certified counselors review the homeowner's overall financial situation and then guide them to the solution that best suits their individual situation. Assistance from the counselors ranges from working with the homeowner on their monthly budget to determining whether other options such as loan modification are appropriate. They also assist the homeowner in submitting the required documentation to the homeowner's lenders.
