Childhood immunizations April 24 at Douglas High School

I always thought because I was the oldest child in our family that my Easter basket was hidden in a very difficult place. Most years even as I was older, like 10 years old, I had the hardest time finding my basket. My sisters would always help me. One time it was in the dishwasher, one time in the clothes dryer. Who would think to look in places like that?

Then there was the egg hunt. We used our homemade dyed hard cooked eggs and always came up short with the count when we finished.

Then when the weather warmed up it seemed the lawnmower was drawn to that rotten egg that sat out on the skirt of the grass in the flower planter.

I hope you had a wonderful Easter, we sure lucked out that the snow didn't come till that night.

Lost, then found update

I have never received as many phone calls from a column that I have written as that one. It was very interesting that all of the calls were women and all but one was a wedding ring that was lost, then found. I think it may be because most men only wear their wedding rings for occasions maybe because of the type of work they do. Women seem to take their ring off while doing chores. That could make it easier to misplace it.

Roofing update

We're done; the new roof is on and almost makes our house look new. The clean-up should be complete by the time you are reading this. I want to send out a huge thank-you to my friend Dave who lent us his truck and dump trailer where I only had to open the back gate and push a solar powered button to dump out all the shingles. Without it, it would have taken us many more trips to the dump.
