EDITOR:
I say thanks to The Record-Courier for publishing so much good local news. I am aware of all the negativity in the world and even in our own backyards. We have numerous sources of communication in the 21st century. There is much news to choose from in our daily lives.
It is great to see our local newspaper keep us informed, while prioritizing the good news of our friends and neighbors. It is, in part, because we live in such a great community that makes it easy to find the positive in reporting. I find fact, compassion, generosity, humor, and education in the articles. I do hope we shall always have newspapers as well as libraries for those of us who don't wish to sit in front of a computer most of the day or night. May we always enjoy going to the newsstand or our front porches to pick up the newspaper that someone has placed there for our convenience. May the newsboy always have a job.
I look forward to the wonderful articles in The Record-Courier and read them thoroughly.
Thanks to those dedicated reporters and photographer who spend lots of time around town whether it be summer or winter, day or night, weekday or weekend. There is something for everyone from sports, politics, calendar, recipes, classified to factual happenings, etc. The newspaper is the eyes and ears where we can't always be.
Some will say the paper is biased. Some will say they aren't accurate. We can always look to find the negative, but who is perfect? Thank God for the eraser and the watchdogs who help The Record-Courier with corrections and staying on track.
Our paper is affordable and continues to create ways to be more efficient in the face of our economic times. Thanks Record-Courier staff for your dedication to a job well done.
