The County Board of Education has selected the site for the new county high school building and last Saturday the deal was closed for the purchase of the land by the citizens of Gardnerville, through their committee. The land selected is part of the Jessen property and a small tract owned by S. A. Imelli, who sold five acres to Gardnerville for $2,500. F.J. DeLongchamps, the Reno architect, has been engaged to draw plans for the building. The new school will be one of the most modern county high school buildings in Nevada and will be a great credit to this community.

Depicting a mother black bear followed by a young cub, Nevada's first-ever bear crossing signs were erected last week along Highway 50 near Spooner Summit.
