The Carson Valley Chapter of Women Entrepreneurs of The World is holding its monthly group meeting on April 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden. The group meets monthly for networking, lunch and a guest speaker.

This month - in lieu of a guest speaker - the group is featuring the special event, WE Blitz. Patterned after the speed-dating concept, WE Blitz is "speed networking." Attendees are partnered one-to-one and given 60 seconds to describe the highlights of each person's business.

"WE Blitz is an excellent opportunity for those who attend our luncheon to get to know one another more intimately," said Susan Barry, WE of Carson Valley chapter president. "Participants often come away with referrals, ideas and at the bare minimum, new contacts. The growth of our group this year has been amazing. Averaging over 50 people in attendance at our meetings, the quality - and quantity - of professional business women in our little Carson Valley never ceases to amaze us."

The monthly WE meetings are open for all to attend. Cost is $15 for WE members, $20 for guests. Reservations are requested by April 15. Those who attend without an reservation are charged $5 extra at the door.

To pay by credit card, please make reservations online at www.weoftheworld.com/events/carson-valley-monthly-luncheon. Those wishing to pay at the door (cash or check only) should RSVP via e-mail to carsonvalley@weoftheworld.com. Please put RSVP in the subject line, plus your name in the body of the e-mail.

Women Entrepreneurs of the World believes that networking doesn't have to be expensive to be effective. The mission of WE is to help build personal and professional success for its members through focused networking opportunities, local rallies and regional conferences, equitable relationship development, think-tank mastermind groups, a progressive mentor program, and an assistance program for start-up businesses from concept to funding.
