Genoans approved a $494,341 budget on Tuesday night, with revenues that include $26,471 from property taxes, $260,000 from Candy Dance and $55,000 coming from this month's Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival, among other revenues.
The Town of Minden meets at 6 p.m. tonight to discuss a rental package for weddings, design of the Buckeye maintenance facility and whether Genoa can piggyback on the town's street rehab project. Minden board members will also take up the tentative budget for next year. They meet in the CVIC Hall.
Expect sunny skies today with a high in the mid-60s. The wind will be light at 5-10 mph. We're looking at a little disturbance rippling through on Thursday that will result in the wind picking up, but nothing else.
