A service is 12:15 p.m. April 18 at the Genoa Community Church for Gardnerville resident Imogene Lindsey Fletcher, 84, who died of a cardiac arrest and complications from pneumonia and Alzheimers, on March 24, 2010.
Born Jan. 28, 1926, in Rutherford, Tenn., to Lonnie Jay Lindsey and Effie Mae Lindsey, she married her husband of 65 years, Henton Ellis Fletcher, in Hernando, Miss.
She retired from Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space Co. in 1990 after a career of 35 years.
Mrs. Fletcher was a member of the Urantia Fondation that publishes the Urantia Book.
She had been a resident of Merrill Gardens and most recently lived with her granddaughter, Rhonda Amerson of Gardnerville.
She was preceded in death by her husband in June 2008.
She is survived by a sister, Juanita Bowling of Edmond, Okla.; sons Lon and Warner Fletcher of Gardnerville; granddaughters Rhonda Amerson of Gardnerville, and Melissa Fletcher of Sacramento; two grandsons Lon Fletcher Jr. of Redding, Calif., and Mitch Fletcher of Quincy, Mass.; and five great-grandchildren Lindsey and Levi Fletcher of Redding, Calif., James Fletcher of Sacramento, Jessica and Julia Amerson of Gardnerville and a great-great-grandson Justin Dudley of Gardnerville.
Burial will be determined by the sons at a later date.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Family Fletcher Trust, Lon or Warner Fletcher.
Friends may visit Warner or Lon Fletcher at their home.
