The new executive director of the Nevada Republican Central Committee will be speaking to the Douglas County Republican Central Committee this evening. Cory Adair will be at the Faith-Genesis Room of St. Gall Catholic Church at 7 p.m. Also Clerk-Treasurer Ted Thran will be discussing the primary election.
The Airport Advisory Committee is meeting 5-9 p.m. tonight in the Douglas County commissioners' chambers, 1616 Eighth St., in Minden. Among other things, the agenda includes the marketing plan for the airport.
Nevada author David Toll will be talking about Mustang Ranch owner Joe Conforte at the Douglas County Historical Society's lecture of the month, 7 p.m. at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center. Admission to the museum is $3.
Today is forecast to be mostly sunny with a high temperature of 65 degrees. The winds will pick up later this morning to 15 mph with gusts of up to 25 mph.
