The Douglas County Historical Society's Courthouse Museum in Genoa will be opening early this year, on April 28, to catch the crowds attending the Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival that weekend.
The official opening will be May 1, with Marilyn Elligot on the porch of the museum teaching spinning techniques at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The Courthouse Museum is located at 2304 Main St,, Genoa. It's open daily, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., May through October. Call 782-4325 for more information.
