Not for the people

EDITOR:

This is an open letter to Rep. Dina Titus, Rep. Shelley Berkley, and Sen. Harry Reid.

First off, I am not a Republican. I am not a Democrat. I don't belong to the Tea Party. I am a student of the Constitution of the United States, and as such I must tell you this congress and administration scares me.

I am writing to you three Nevada representatives who voted to pass the Obamacare health bill. Your actions are of historic proportions, but unfortunately, for the wrong reasons.

The press has for the past year reported your activities and has used terms such as "gimmick," "trick," "bribe," "unprecedented," "purely political," and other uncomplimentary terms to describe the actions of the House and the Senate regarding health care. I never saw mentioned that the bill was being done because of "the will of the people." By the way, polls show that between 85 and 87 percent of Americans are happy with their health care coverage.

Your actions have hijacked one sixth of the American economy and for what? To help a small group in America who may or may not need your help? Some people don't want the government's help.

For example, when I entered the work force, I chose not to sign up for health care because: 1) I was young and healthy; 2) I needed every dime to get my post-college life started. Later in my career I bought a health care plan. No, the real answer is a power grab by the Democratic Party. Shame on you. Shame on all of you.

In a perfect world, you and the others who voted for Obamacare for the advancement of your political agenda, against the will of the American people, would be dragged from your beds, transported to the town square of your home districts where you would be tried for crimes against the United States of America and if found guilty, you would be tarred and feathered by your constituents.

But alas, that won't happen in the Socialist States of America, so you and your ilk will be safe to further damage the America I grew up in. Again, shame on you.

Also, in a perfect world, next November, the three of you would be voted out of office. I'm hoping Nevada has enough like-minded people to help you lose your jobs.
