This letter is to inform the school board, which is making the decision to grant the charter school a license, that we need this school. My two children need a learning environment that will lift them up, not bring them down. The public school is too large for them, and they need an environment that can be regulated. In a school with 800-1,500 students my children do not thrive, they fail.
Please let the school make necessary changes to stay open. If it is as easy as that I would be relieved. Maybe it is not. I know going back to the environment where they failed will only cause the same results. My children deserve and alternative to the public schools as they are now. I sincerely hope there will still be a choice for them.
