A Wildflower of Gardnerville placed first in the table top design competition in Reno on March 30.

The event benefited the Reno-Tahoe chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives and the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.

Lori Britton, owner of A Wildflower, assisted by Grace Hinkle, did a "timeless twilight" theme designed with spring bulbs, white callas and Earth elements with amethyst lighting.

As A Wildflower celebrates 20 years of business, Britton was recently appointed board member of the American Institute of Floral Designers. She will represent the northwest region of the U.S. for a 3-year term.
