RENO - Douglas High continued its roll through the Sierra League with a doubleheader sweep of Wooster on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers won the opener 11-0 in six innings and the second game 14-3, as Kaylee Duryee picked up both pitching wins.
Douglas improved to 11-4 overall and 10-2 in league. Wooster dropped to 1-11 in league.
In the opener, Douglas broke open a scoreless tie with seven runs in the fifth inning and four more in the sixth inning.
Naomi Roberts and Nicole Chavez contributed two-run singles in the fifth, while Morgan Blomstrom hit a two-run homer in the sixth.
Brenna White, Maddy Gilbert and Katrina Morgan all had two hits in the win.
Wooster took a 2-0 lead after two in the second game. The Tigers roared back with four in the fourth, three in the fifth and seven in the sixth.
Rebecca Trute doubled home two runs in the fourth and two Wooster errors led to the three runs in the fifth. Chavez's three-run homer and a two-run double by Blomstrom were the key blows in the sixth.
Emily Weaver went 4-for-5, while Gilbert, Chavez and Blomstrom added two hits apiece.
