Douglas County commissioners are meeting in Stateline 1 p.m. today to discuss the budget some more, paying off AIG Baker and hiring a consultant to find a new airport manager, among other things. The meeting kicks off with a half-hour closed negotiation session with the East Fork Professional Firefighters Association, so don't rush to be right on time.

We'll be following up today on the superintendent search to see who survived last night's elimination challenge. The results will be online when we know more.

Indian Hills General Improvement District trustees approved their tentative budget on Wednesday night without an increase in the tax rate. They also heard from a resident about how a plan to put temporary toilets in two parks stank.

Expect mostly sunny skies and a temperature that will feel suspiciously like 70 degrees. We'll see some light breezes. There's a slight chance of showers on Friday, and again on Monday, but it may be nice over the weekend.
