County observes dispatcher's week

In honor of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week the five primary agencies served by the communications center, Douglas County, East Fork Fire & Paramedic Districts, Alpine County, Tahoe Douglas Fire and the Washoe Tribe, honored the dispatchers.

The communications center employs 19 people; a manager, three supervisors, three leads and 12 dispatchers.

Debbie Gochenouer was voted Dispatcher of the Year, Devin Moffat was voted most improved and Tammy Adamson won for best attitude at the Minden facility.
