Family bingo today at Pau-Wa-Lu

Family Fun Bingo Night benefiting the Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School music department is 6-8 p.m. today, at the school, 701 Long Valley Road in the Gardnerville Ranchos. All ages may play. Cookie contest and bake sale

The Smith Valley Senior Luncheoneers cookie contest and bake sale is 1-5 p.m. Saturday at Smith Valley United Methodist Church, 44 Rivers Road, Wellington. Coffee, tea, raffle prizes. Talent show Saturday

The Kiwanis Club of Carson Valley's 12th annual Stars of Tomorrow talent competition and silent auction is Saturday at the CVIC Hall in Minden. Doors open at 6 p.m., show at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 adults, $30 family, $5 students and children, available at the door.


Sign up by Monday to make tracks

Carson Valley Middle School's inaugural Making Tracks walk to benefit cystic fibrosis research begins 8 a.m. May 1 from the front of the school and covers about 5 kilometers around downtown Gardnerville and Minden. Cost of $10 includes a commemorative T-shirt and refreshments. Submit registration or sponsorship forms by Monday to the CVMS main office, 1475 Highway 395, Gardnerville. Cars wanted for Cruisers Rockathon

Cars wanted and swap spaces are available for the Valley Cruisers Rockathon car show and swap meet, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 15, in Heritage Park in Gardnerville. Enter cars from any year for $10.
