A Gardnerville mechanic's bookkeeper who admitted stealing from her employer faces up to a decade in prison and a $10,000 fine in Douglas County District Court this morning. Peggy Henderson, 46, said she took money from Bob's Performance, but that it wasn't the $80,000 claimed by the state.

A 20-year-old Gardnerville woman is scheduled to appear for arraignment this morning in a drug case. Danielle Cook, 20, was arrested on multiple drug possession charges.

A look at the weather picture for this week looks oddly similar to last week. There's a high wind watch goes into effect late tonight and will last through early Tuesday. Winds will peak at 55-65 mph in the Valley late Tuesday morning. Gusts of more than 70 mph are possible in wind prone areas.

A deep low pressure system in the Gulf of Alaska will bring cold air into Western Nevada on Wednesday with temperatures dropping 15-25 degrees. Rain or snow is likely on Wednesday, with a slight chance of snow on Wednesday. Lows will drop below freezing on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
