The boat launch facility at Sand Harbor will re-open Saturday, the Nevada Division of State Parks announced Monday. Launching hours are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the summer.
"Lake levels are still very low and launch conditions are less than ideal, especially for boats over 16 feet in length," according to the state parks. "Boaters will need to use caution when launching their boats."
Tahoe Regional Planning Agency watercraft inspections will be present during launch hours; boaters are encouraged to get watercraft inspected early due to summer crowds, the release said.
