A Minden resident was injured Saturday morning when he laid down his motorcycle on Highway 395 near Jacks Valley Road.
Arthur William Duckworth, 75, of Johnson Lane, was northbound on 395 when he applied the brakes on his 2010 Honda motorcycle and skidded. Duckworth laid the motorcycle down and it skidded into the median barrier. His helmet came off, causing a head injury, according to Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Matt Kaplan.
Duckworth was helicoptered by CareFlight to Renown Medical Center in Reno.
The accident was reported at 9:42 a.m. Traffic was backed up on the highway as the accident was cleaned up.
