Wine walk Thursday
The Thirsty Third Thursday wine and beer walk is Aug. 19 with a rocking '50s theme. Cost is $10 plus $5 for a commemorative wine glass, which may be used at all 2010 wine walks. Discovery Center
Registration is open for the Discovery Center preschool and extended day kindergarten beginning Sept. 7 at 1327 Waterloo Lane, Gardnerville. Concert series begins Sept. 30
Sponsorships and season tickets are available for the Carson Valley Arts Council's 2010-11 concert series, opening Sept. 30 with Canadian folk band Tiller's Folly.
