Western Nevada College students in Yerington will have new home when classes resume this fall.
The WNC Yerington center will relocate to the Jeanne Dini Cultural Center at 120 N. California St. effective Aug. 26, with classes beginning Aug. 30.
The college continues to offer enrollment and registration services at the Yerington High School location through Aug. 25.
The new center will offer a "more accommodating atmosphere for college students," said Yerington Center coordinator Katherine Wakeman-Nelson.
WNC and the Lyon County School District have worked collaboratively to make higher education accessible to the Mason Valley area for more than 30 years. The collaboration continues at the new location, as the facility will also house Lyon County's Adult Education and Alternative Education services.
