Creating jobs not the government's concern

One of the most important issues facing the country at this time is jobs. We hear from Reid that Sharron Angle says it is not her job as a U.S. senator to create jobs. My question for Reid is how many jobs has he created? Other than his own staff, the reality is only the private sector, the job creators that function for that obscene word, profit, create productive jobs.

Harry is under the delusion that government jobs are good for we the people. Government's job, is to be wise and frugal. We have a failed government.

We are seeing the biggest transfer of wealth that this country has ever seen, and we and our children and their children will have a lower standard of living than we have enjoyed. Harry Reid and his kind are and will continue to be the cause of this falling standard of living.

Sharron Angle is right about the jobs issue, it is not the job of government to create jobs, it is the government's job to stay out of the way of the private sector, as much as possible, and let the private sector do what it is suppose to do, create jobs and profits. Without profits, no one can afford the taxes that support government.

Recently we have learned that federal government employees are earning, with benefits, from $110,000 to $125,000 per year on average. This means that it now takes 20 private sector jobs to support one federal employee. This is unsustainable. This is only if there was no Social Security to be paid.

In the real world we know that there is Social Security to be funded and that today it takes more dollars than are collected, through payroll taxes, to pay those benefits.

We allowed our representatives and Harry Reid to pillage the Social Security account when they made it part of the general fund. This, in essence, made this the most regressive income tax the United States has ever seen. That's right it is in reality, today an income tax. Retirement systems should be private; it is our money for our retirement. You can not trust government to keep their hands off of your money.

Harry Reid has been a disaster for Nevada and the entire United States. Sharron Angle will be a breathe of fresh air in Washington D.C. She is a Nevadan who is truly independent like Nevadans. Harry is not only part of the problem in Washington D.C., He is the instigator of much of what is wrong. It is time to retire Harry Reid.
