Cody Hines of Gardnerville has been named to the Whitworth University Laureate Society for fall semester 2010.
Hines qualified for the academic honors society by maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.75 during the semester.
Founded in 1890, Whitworth is a private liberal arts university affiliated with the Presbyterian Church. The university enrolls approximately 2,700 students.
