The carnival is coming to Gardnerville this weekend.
The Tahoe-Douglas Elks Summerfest Carnival kicks off 4 p.m. Thursday at Lampe Park and lasts through 8 p.m. Labor Day.
Hours for the carnival are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday; 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday; noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; and noon to 8 p.m. on Labor Day.
The Elks will be providing hamburgers, hot dogs, chili, ice cream, soft drinks. beer and margaritas.
Presale discount tickets are $15 and are redeemable for an unlimited ride pass at the carnival. For tickets call Toni Wendt at 265-6136.
All proceeds support youth, seniors and veterans within Douglas County for the Elks charitable activities.
Local, state and federal offices will be closed for the Sept. 6 holiday, as will most financial institutions and The Record-Courier.
